WE NEED TO PRAY!

This is an urgent prayer request. In order for a Palestinian state to come into being, it must get nine votes out of 15 in the Security Council. Secondly the resolution must not be vetoed by any of the five permanent members - the U.S., Britain, France, China and Russia.

The U.S. has declared that it will veto such a resolution if nine or more members vote for a Palestinian state. It will be much better for the U.S. if there are less than nine votes - as the the U.S. would then not have to use its veto - which will further alienate the Arab and Moslem world.

So far, these nations have declared they will vote for a Palestinian state: China, Russia, Brazil, India, Lebanon, South Africa. Now Nigeria and Gabon have just announced they too will vote for a Palestinian state. That makes eight states. The nations that have said they will vote against the UN declaring such a state are the U.S., Britain, France, Germany. That leaves three states: Bosnia, Colombia and Portugal undecided. If the Palestinians can get one of those three to vote for them, they will have the nine votes - a serious blow to the U.S. and Israel, and the Western countries.

When we see these close battles - where one or two votes could change history - we can know there is a fierce battle in the heavenlies. And we are commanded of God to stand in the gap. We can have a part in God's purposes by praying His Will be done. And we know in this issue from hundreds of Bible verses that God has given this land to Israel.

Please pray specifically that Bosnia, Colombia and Portugal will NOT vote for a Palestinian state.

This is not only a serious issue for the West and for Israel. There have been prophetic voices saying that the nations that vote AGAINST ISRAEL will go into deeper economic problems and chaos in their countries. Those who vote FOR ISRAEL will have some economic problems, but will then, by the grace of God, pull out of it.

No one knows when the vote will take place in the Security Council. It could be a matter of days or weeks.

L'Shana Tova!

THURSDAY [BEGINNING SUNDOWN WEDNESDAY] IS THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS AND THE "HEAD" OF THE HEBREW YEAR 5772.

"Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing [of shofars--rams' horns], a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD'" (Leviticus 23:23-25; see also Numbers 29:1-6).

This Thursday marks the beginning of the Biblical Fall Feasts-Yom T'ruah, the Day of Blowing (of shofars)-the Feast of Trumpets. It has also come to be known as Rosh Hashanah, the "Head of the [civil] Year". Although Hebrew months are numbered beginning in the Spring (Exodus 12:2), the numbering for the Hebrew year changes on the first of the seventh month, Yom T'ruah [According to Hebrew tradition, the world was created on this day]. This week we enter the Hebrew year 5772.

*Of first importance, it is to be a day of t'ruah as a memorial (see Scripture above). T'ruah means a shout, a cry, an alarm, a blast or series of blasts on the shofar (ram's horn). Psalm 33:3 says that musicians are to make t'ruah skillfully on their instruments together with singers singing a new song! Suffice to say that it is a day on which a 'sound' is to go up memorializing the greatness and faithfulness of YHVH, the LORD!

* The sound of the shofar also speaks of the Source of our redemption. It was through a ram caught in a thicket by its horn (from whence is made a shofar) that God "provided the lamb" to take the place of Isaac on Mount Moriah (Genesis 22:13-14). We believe that it is this relation to the "Lamb of God who carries away the sin of the world", who "defeated Death", who came to "undo the works of the Evil One," which gives the shofar its special authoritative power when blown in the timing and under the anointing of the Holy Spirit! The sound can be an alarm, a call to battle, a sound of victory, rejoicing and celebration. There were shofar blasts from heaven as the YHVH descended upon Mount Sinai to meet with Moses and deliver instruction regarding His Law, and how His people could draw near to Him (Exodus 19:16, 19). I Corinthians 15:52 (Hebrew translation) speaks of one Final Shofar when the dead in Messiah will be raised and those remaining changed in the twinkling of an eye.

*It is a joyous holiday in Israel, beginning this year at sundown September 28th, a family-and- friends time of wine and feasting, of giving gifts, of sounding the shofar, of eating apples dipped in honey and wishing each other "Shana Tova" - a good year!

*However, with the joy there is to be a certain sobriety-it is to be a sabbath for taking account, for becoming awake and alert, a day of remembrance but also for looking forward to the Day of Atonement nine days later. As such, it is sometimes referred to as Yom HaDin-the Day of Judgment. These ten days are considered "Days of Awe". We take account of our sins. Many devout Jews partake of an ancient custom called Tashlikh-the "casting" or "throwing". They go to a body of water and empty their pockets or throw stones into the water, repeating the final three verses from the prophet Micah, "Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in lovingkindness. He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. You will give truth to Jacob and lovingkindness to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers from days of old."

PLEASE PRAY: For revelation to Jews during this holy season by the Spirit who was sent to convict of sin and righteousness and judgment-revelation of the One in whom "truth and lovingkindness" were realized (John 1:17)-in whose work God pardons our iniquity and passes over our transgression!

*Thursday also begins the seventh Hebrew month-Tishri. In earlier times, the name Ethanim was used (I Kings 8:2). Ethanim is related to the word Ethan, which has to do with steadiness, as an "unwavering flame" or "a steady flow". Brown-Driver-Briggs (P 250 #388) interprets it in this context as "a month of steady flow". There are presently many forces, both outside of and within Christendom which are working to fragment the Body of Messiah regarding its God-ordained call to bless and stand with Israel and to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.

PLEASE PRAY: that in this month of new beginnings the Lord bring our streams into a steady flow of constancy. That He focus the prayers of His watchmen and watchwomen into a steady truthful flame, until Jerusalem's righteousness ignites and "goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a torch which burns" (Isaiah 62:1).

Watchmen, Be At Your Station!!

Chose Life

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you [i.e. Israel, descendants of Jacob] may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them"

(Deuteronomy 30:19-20-closing the first portion of this week's Torah reading.).

"You are stationed here today before the LORD your God: your leaders and your tribes and your elders and your officers, all the men of Israel, your little ones and your wives-also the stranger who is in your camp, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water." (Deuteronomy 29:10-First verse of this week's Torah Portion. "Nitsavim", the title of this reading, is a military term (today as in ancient times) meaning to "be stationed", to "be positioned.").

If events continue on what appears to be their present course, the end of this week will find representatives of nations facing a choice, the results of which we believe could indeed mean "life or death, blessing or cursing" for the prosperity of their citizens and lands both now and for generations to come. Friday PA President Abbas plans to present to the Security Council at the UN a request that Palestine be granted recognition as a new member state of the United Nations with borders along the '67 lines and with Jerusalem as its capital. Voting to accept this (the vote itself would likely take place a few weeks later) would essentially be countenancing placement of a permanent Muslim sovereignty over all of Judea and Samaria, all of Hamas-held Gaza, and over vast portions of Jerusalem, including the Old City (with the Temple Mount) and the Mount of Olives. The Security Council consists of five permanent members-the US, China, France, the UK and Russia (each of which is endowed with a power to veto), and ten non-permanent members, elected for two-year terms. Only the Security Council can grant full membership of a newly-declared state to the General Assembly. As of this writing five nations on the SC have indicated a willingness to vote for Palestinian membership-Lebanon, Russia, China, Brazil, South Africa and India. Of the other nine members France, Britain, Germany, Bosnia, Portugal, Gabon, Columbia, Nigeria and the US, only the US has firmly stated it is against granting membership; the US has further indicated that if pressed with a majority vote in favour of statehood, it will exercise its veto power-a move it dearly desires it will not be forced to make. It was during the past week that President Abbas made a decision to first bypass calling for a vote in the General Assembly (which does not have power to grant full citizenship) and to go straight to the Security Council. Presently the so-called "Quartet" has been working furiously on a last-ditch effort to come up with a proposal for restarting some sort of negotiations which persuade Abbas to at least postpone his present plan.

In the meantime, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is flying to New York to first confer with President Obama on Wednesday, then to address the General Assembly on Friday. His stated purposes for making this trip, 1. To use all his influence to make sure that the Palestinian move to circumvent negotiations does not succeed, and 2. "To present the truth, which is that we [i.e. Israelis] are not foreigners and we have rights going back 4,000 years."

This past week has seen groups of believers from around the world gathering in New York to take part in strategic intercession, moving about the area of the UN, conferring those who may have influence, watching, praying. A rally is planned for Wednesday, standing against the unilateral statehood request, and also against the racist "Durban III" conference also set to open this weekend.

We find it remarkable that the same week as so momentous a choice appears to be rising into place before the nations, from the week's Parashah rings out the solemn call, warning and encouragement of Deuteronomy 30:19-20, "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live."

PLEASE PRAY:

*That President Abbas' plans to demand Palestinian statehood at the UN this Friday will be called off-but not at the expense of unrighteous concessions being forced on Israel.

*That if the matter is to be brought to a vote in the Security Council, a majority of countries will vote against recognition. Pray that some of those which have already indicated they will vote for statehood, will reconsider.

*For Prime Minister Netanyahu's meeting with President Obama and for his speech on Friday.that he receive divine guidance of thought, comprehension and words. Pray Deuteronomy 31:7 from this week's Torah Portion, that he be "strong and courageous".and that the fear of the God of his fathers will rest on him. Pray mercy over President Obama that he will also sense the fear of the Lord.that he will honour the Prime Minister of Israel and not seek to coerce him. Pray courage to follow through with his promise to veto if the circumstance warranting it should arise.

*God's watch and protection over Israel. Guidance for authorities in Israel in guarding her borders and quelling any violent disturbances the enemy is planning in relation to the happenings at the UN.

*Pray against hatred and violence over those Palestinian Arabs whom God is calling to rise up out of the darkness which for the most part rules that people. Pray for the Palestinian Arab young people who were touched by the Holy Spirit at the recent Elav conference.that they will be led in truth in the God who has a way of hope and a future planned for them and their families.

*For the believers which God has placed in strategic positionings around the UN this week. Pray for their protection, and for the Holy Spirit to release on them words and declarations which it is God's will to release into this situation, "On Earth as it is in Heaven!"

PRAY FOR BELIEVERS ALL OVER THE WORLD WHOM GOD HAS CALLED TO INTERCEDE OVER ISRAEL DURING THIS SEASON TO "BE AT THEIR STATIONS"-"STANDING IN THEIR POSITIONINGS ON THE WALL" (See Torah section below, Deuteronomy 29:10; also Habakkuk 2:1 where a form of the same word is used for setting oneself in ones positioning on the rampart).

Friday prayer points

From Intercessors for Israel:

Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him: behold, his reward is with Him, and His work before Him. He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being His counselor hath taught Him? Isaiah 40:10-13

Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, He takes up the isles as a very little thing. Isaiah 40:15

We thank You Lord that You have promised to shepherd Your people Israel and that You are exalted above all nations that would seek to do them harm!

We began by focusing our prayers on what is coming within the next week. There is to be a vote in the General Assembly and in the Security Council with the purpose of establishing a Palestinian State unilaterally. The consequences of such a vote can not be seen fully in the natural, but according to God's Word, they could be severe for any country who votes to divide God's Land. We continued to ask the Lord to act sovereignly according to His Word and to strengthen our government in the face of this vote.

Though the battle is raging in the natural and the spiritual, we pray that You would have Your way Lord despite others attempting to exert their will.

Give us, Your intercessors, Your Heart concerning how to pray leading up to this vote.

Please cover our Prime Minister as he goes to speak at the UN before the vote. Give him the words of Truth that he is supposed to declare.

Thank You that the truth will stand - we pray that Netanyahu would live in the truth and not compromise.

We thank You for calling Netanyahu to be the PM at this time and we pray that he would have all the support he needs around him.

Show our government the cost of compromising Your Word.

Give our leaders a spirit of unity and may Your Holy Spirit rest on the Israeli Knesset.

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. Proverbs 10:28

May the expectations of the wicked be shattered!

Hedge in Your enemies at the UN and we ask that You would send a spirit of confusion among them.

It is He that sits upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in: That brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth as vanity. Isaiah 40:22-23

We turned our prayer to the borders of this small nation. For years, there has been a battle being fought on our southern border against smugglers coming in from Egypt. That battle has only increased since the "Arab Spring" and now we hear reports of smuggling attempts coming from Jordan. This is a new development, because for years the Jordanians have been fearful that Israel would hold the government directly responsible for anything coming from their side of the border. These new developments are worrisome, but it has not caught the Lord by surprise.

It is God that girds me with strength, and makes my way secure. Psalms 18:32

With threats coming from every side, help us to know how to distribute our forces.

Help us to have good intelligence of what is happening on the other side of the border.

Give discernment to the military leaders to see the movements of the enemy and know what their plans are.

Throw our enemies into disarray and divide them against themselves

We ask that You would raise up more spiritual watchers on the wall who will join us in this prayer for Israel's security.

Let a great cry go up from the Body here in Israel, asking You to defend this nation.

There is so much focus on what is going on in the UN and the noise Turkey is making that one thing seems to have been forgotten. Iran continues to push for a nuclear arsenal with very few people taking notice. Recently, some new reactors went online in Iran, with very little being said about it. Our prayer is that the threat of Iran would not get lost in the midst of so many other things going on.

The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might. And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come. For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, says the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them: And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, says the LORD. But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, says the LORD. Jeremiah 49:34-39

Elam was what is now present day Iran - We ask that You would fulfill all of Your Word concerning Iran.

We ask that You would keep us alert to the looming threat despite all the other things that are so crucial.

Give the leaders of Israel the wisdom to know what to do about Iran.

We want to set the words of the Iranian leaders before You the way Hezekiah set the Assyrian letter before You. We ask as he did that You would hear and act according to Your sovereign Word.

We declare the truth of Your word that says Israel shall prosper here and not be wiped out.

We asked the Lord to continue His sovereign work of Aliyah despite what we see in the natural.

And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, You know. Again He said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD. Ezekiel 37:3-6

As He created this Nation from a people who seemed to be dead, we prayed that He continue building this nation through Aliyah.

We thank You Lord for bringing Your people back to their Land.

Bring Your people home even in this dark and difficult hour.

We continue to ask that You would draw Your people home with love so that they would not be driven out by the anger that will come to the nations.

Make the way straight for Messianic believers to navigate their way into this country.

Set the importance of Aliyah in the hearts of the Messianic communities around the world.

Use the Church around the world to be a voice of encouragement for Jews to make Aliyah.

Bring our people from Lands where they have prospered and gotten comfortable.

SOUTH AND NORTH

It has been a week of turbulence with Egypt to Israel's south and Turkey to her north: menacing threats by Turkey's Prime Minister, which, if carried out, would lead to certain war; a violent assault (technically an 'act of war') by Egyptian citizens on the Israeli embassy in Cairo. Suddenly, within two weeks Israel has no ambassador present in either of these countries; one driven out from a state with which she has had a peace treaty for over 30 years, the other dismissed from a nation which for most of Israel's existence has been deemed her close ally and friend.

Within a stormy chapter of battles both ancient and future also involving nations to the north and south of the "Glorious Land", like an eye in the midst of the storm stands Daniel 11:32: "But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. And those of the people who understand shall instruct many." This lies in harmony with portions of Psalm 27, which many Jews are reading repeatedly from the beginning of this month through the Feast of Tabernacles, "The LORD is my light and my salvation.the strength of my life, Of whom shall I be afraid?.Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord.Hope in the LORD, BE STRONG! He will make your heart courageous! Wait in Hope for the LORD!"

PLEASE PRAY:

IN EGYPT:

*Against anarchy engulfing Egypt-for favor for those voices in the current military government which truly desire to retain peaceful relations with Israel.

*Against the "spirit breathing out cruel violence" against Israel which has captured the imagination of many Egyptians. We have been told that much of this hatred has its roots in the horrors experienced when Egypt came against Israel in war (1948, '56, '67, '73). Pray for a path to open for Egyptians to be healed and restored from this trauma and bitterness which continues to be passed on.

*For the true Church, the Body of Messiah in Egypt. We have spoken personally with those who are involved in massive congregations of believers there-and with others who are raising up houses of prayer. We hear reports of a supernatural love for Israel growing amongst believers in Egypt. Pray for courage, new revelation, supernatural signs and wonders in the name of the Holy One. For vision and prophetic words of encouragement and strategic guidance. Pray for the Spirit to be poured out in evangelism, that many come into the Faith and be nurtured in Truth.

*That bonds which have begun to be made between Messianic Jewish believers in Israel and Christian Egyptians will be strengthened.

*Deuteronomy 23:7. "You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land." (From last week's Torah Portion).that Jewish believers will take these words to heart, and not allow a root of bitterness towards Egypt as a nation to enter in, even should that nation become more alienated and hostile towards Israel.

*Guidance for Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli government in seeking to maintain peaceful relations with Egypt. Pray that diplomatic relations be restored and that the treaty holds.

IN TURKEY:

*For the Believing community in Turkey to grow and be strengthened.

*Anointing for discernment and strategic intercession amongst the Body there.

*That as darkness gathers, more holy houses of prayer and worship will be established as points of light throughout that land.

*For Truth to cut through the lies about Israel with which the Turkish media has saturated its citizens.

*That the "wells" of God's Presence which watered the 7 Churches in Asia (i.e. present-day Turkey) be re-opened in these last days.that Turkish and Kurdish Believers will come to the Lord, and have revelation and understanding about Israel.

*That relations between Israel and Turkey will be restored.wisdom for Prime Minister Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Lieberman to move in wisdom, integrity, watchfulness and uprightness.

Nearing the Valley of Decision

"Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east."
(Zechariah 14:3-4)

Two weeks from yesterday on Tuesday September 20th at the annual gathering of world leaders at the UN General Assembly in New York, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas plans to present a unilateral request that the territories lying within the ancient Israeli areas of Judea, Samaria and Gaza be recognized as a sovereign Palestinian state and granted full membership in the UN. The request will likely be made initially to the General Assembly, so as to avoid a promised veto from the US were it to be presented to the Security Council. Such a vote in the General Assembly, while not able to result in full 'membership', could nevertheless serve to change the Palestinian Authority's status (so far as the UN is concerned) from a non-voting observer "entity" to that of a non-voting observer "state".

The change would pave the way for the Palestinians to join dozens of United Nations bodies and conventions, and it could strengthen their ability to pursue cases against Israel at the International Criminal Court." ("U.S. Appeals to Palestinians to Stall U.N. Vote on Statehood; Myers, Steven Lee and Mark Landler, The New York Times, September 3, 2011).

It is presently assumed that following the proposal, an actual vote would take place in October. Some estimates see between 130 and 140 states voting in favor of the Palestinians. Although France's President Sarkozy has pressed for the 27 European Union countries to "express themselves with one voice", the way most of the EU countries will vote is still uncertain; much is said to depend on whether the "wording" of the Palestinian demands is something they may find palatable. As of now, only five western countries have indicated to Israel that they will vote against recognition of Palestinian statehood at this time, The U.S., Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The US has been going to great diplomatic lengths to stall the vote, circulating proposals for renewed peace talks based on the so-called "1967 borders" as a starting point; but Mr Abbas has shown no interest in peace talks for quite some time now. Of course, unilateral declaration of statehood would mean immediate abrogation of the Oslo plan, which was set up on the premise that final status would be mutually arrived at by both the Palestinians and Israelis. But it would also fly in the face of agreements, in fact, international laws, which go much further back than Oslo.

On April 25th, 1920 the League of Nations, meeting in San Remo, Italy, signed into international law a treatise which among other things allowed Jews to settle throughout what was then called Palestine. This law has never been rendered null and void. In fact, a clause in the formation of the United Nations protects laws already ratified by the League of Nations from being superseded without due process of law. The pertinent laws related to Jews in Palestine put forth by the League of Nations at San Remo have never been officially altered. The "1967 Border" has NEVER been a true, internationally recognized "border" for Israel; it was rather a negotiated armistice line drawn up in 1949 to bring to an end hostilities between the newly born Israel and Jordan, which had illegally captured and claimed the West Bank as its own. During the years between 1949 and 1967, the Jordanians expelled all Jews from the territory and from Old Jerusalem, clearly violating existing International Law. More than one high voice in the Palestinian Authority has already made clear that a similar ban on Jews in the area would be reinstated after a state was formed.

We believe that the decisions made by nations over the next month will have great significance for the future of those nations. A vote for creation of a Muslim state in this location not only breaks existing international civil law, it rises up against a Law much more ancient and 'binding'. In Genesis 28:13-15, Jacob-lying on ground well within this disputed territory-beheld YHVH-the LORD standing above him and heard him say, "I am YHVH God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your seed."

WE BELIEVE THAT THE DECISIONS MADE BY NATIONS ON THIS ISSUE IN THE NEXT MONTH AND A HALF MAY HAVE DIRECT BEARING ON THEIR WELFARE FOR YEARS TO COME.

PLEASE PRAY:

*That truth regarding the San Remo decisions will be disseminated amongst leaders and their counselors and influence them not to vote for statehood.

*That intercessors throughout the world will prevail in prayer for their governments that they will choose against a unilateral establishment of Palestinian statehood.

*For Israeli leaders, that they and Israel be prepared for what is to come. Pray protection over Israel's borders (Psalm 147:13-14). If a "state" were to be recognized, there would no longer be a reason for the millions of Palestinians living in other lands to be regarded as "refugees"; the countries where they presently live might seek to expel them back across Israel's borders. "Unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait in Hope on the LORD; be of good courage, He will strengthen your heart; Wait in Hope, I say, on the LORD!" (Psalm 27:13-17).

Intercessors consider praying through the following Scriptures daily until this crisis is resolved.

*Psalm 9:3-5; 15-16. "When my enemies turn back, they shall fall and perish at Your presence. For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness. You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever. The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; in the net which they hid, their own foot is caught. The LORD is known by the judgment He executes; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. (Meditation-Selah).

*Psalm 33:10-12. "The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance."

*Jeremiah 12:14-16. "Thus says the LORD: 'Against all My evil neighbors who touch the inheritance which I have caused My people Israel to inherit-behold, I will pluck them out of their land and pluck out the house of Judah from among them. Then it shall be, after I have plucked them out, that I will return and have compassion on them and bring them back, everyone to his heritage and everyone to his land. And it shall be, if they will learn carefully the ways of My people, to swear by My name, "As the LORD lives," as they taught My people to swear by Baal, then they shall be established in the midst of My people."

*Zechariah 9:5-7. "Ashkelon shall see it and fear; Gaza also shall be very sorrowful; And Ekron, for He dried up her expectation. The king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. A mixed race shall settle in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. I will take away the blood from his mouth, and the abominations from between his teeth. But he who remains, even he shall be for our God, and shall be like a leader in Judah, and Ekron like a Jebusite."
