Activate your voice

Ezekiel 13:5 "You have not gone up into the gap (breach) to build a wall for the house of Israel to stand in battle on the day of the Lord."

Workmen were busy repairing the physical wall of Jerusalem and the prophets should have strengthened the moral and spiritual defenses as well.

Gap (perets in hebrew) means a break, gap or breach, especially a gap in a wall.
Two verses show that gaps need to be repaired. (Isaiah 58:12 and Amos 9:11)
The former verse refers to the physical and spiritual ruins of Zion, and the latter to the Tabernacle of David.

Will you be committed to intercession?

Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one."

There is a gap between God and man that an intercessor tries to repair.

Isaiah 43:10 "You are My witnesses," says the Lord, And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me."

Israel speaks of security concerns time and time again. She is building a "security fence." She needs built up in the gaps, strengthened in the moral and spiritual defenses as well.

Can God count on you to stand in the gap for Israel? Will He have to look for another? Will you activate your voice in prayer on her behalf? Become a watchman on the wall for Jerusalem and Israel.

BE AN ACTIVATED VOICE!!

  2. Luke 13:10 Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11) And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. 12) But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, "Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity." 13) And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

In this scripture I believe this woman represents Israel. If we look at what is happening in Israel at this time and through out all of history it seems as though everything and everyone is against her. Year after year of great persecution against her has caused her to grow weak and hunch over. In this hunched over state she can only see what is before her eyes which is the dirt of the ground. This dirt can be understood as a representation of earthly things or the turmoil all around her.

Lord Jesus, We stand today as those who understand your heart and love for your people and we call out with all that is withing us, "ISRAEL, YOU ARE LOOSED FROM YOUR INFIRMITY!" And we stretch out our hand to her and pull her up straight so that she once again will put her eyes on heavenly things and the covenant that YOU made with her, never again to be weighed down by the world around her but to keep her focus on you and see the fulfillment of promise through you, her Messiah.

  3. Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. forgive the early Gentile Church for being so arrogant in its claim to You that it acted violently against Judiasm, wanting to stamp out every vestige of Jewish life. You O Lord blessed the Jews with an incredible heritage of families teaching their children Your WORD from the time they were babes. The religious leaders did not receive their Jewish Messiah but many of the common people did. And then they were told they could no longer be Jewish. It took us down a path that led to the "Dark Ages".

But God You are merciful and full of compassion. Zionists have been and are being raised up to pray. Jews are going back to "their land". God will fight for Israel in their land. In Psalm 83 God is implored to confound His enemies. Please lift this Psalm up before the Lord as you pray for Israel.

The Prophets wrote about God's anger over Israel's idolatry, then their repentence and cry to their God, and God's response of mercy and compassion toward His beloved.

God will put hooks in the jaws of the nations and bring them down upon Israel and then HE will fight FOR Israel to dismay her enemies...so that they may know that YOU alone, whose name is the LORD are the Most High over all the earth.

  4. Job 42:7-10
"And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.
Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has."
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD commanded them; for the LORD had accepted Job.
And the LORD restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before."

Not only did the Lord restore Job's losses but it was the prayer of Job for his friends that allowed them to receive mercy from the Lord. If not for the prayer (intercession) of Job on their behalf, the Lord says that He would have dealt with them according to their folly.

Lord, I pray that we would be a people and a nation who would intercede for your grace upon Israel. That today, would be the day when the veil is lifted from her eyes and she once again, returns to her roots. Return to your roots...to the One who set you free! Do not deal with Israel according to her folly but for the witness to the nations, cause her to a testimony of your grace and love on your people!
