Call to fast and Pray March 18-20

In the Spirit of Esther and Mordecai

It is time for us to pray, read, and live out the book of Esther again. God is raising up new Mordecais who have His grace upon them to prepare the corporate Esther (the Body of believers) to do radical exploits in His name on behalf of God’s purposes amongst the Jewish people worldwide and in Israel particularly.

The Holy Spirit wants to inject the burden of the Lord for the purposes of God among the Jewish people into the global prayer movement - like a nurse with a fully loaded needle. We need a potent injection of God’s heart into our heart! That is why God wants to raise up a Mordecai anointing to prepare Esther for a time of intervention. We know what Esther accomplished, but what was Mordecai’s task? What was his divine assignment?

Mordecai’s job was to raise up and prepare Esther for her hour of influence before the king. Mordecai raised Esther as his own daughter. He did not bow down or pay homage to Haman, who sought the destruction of the Jews, but worshipped the one true God only. He intercepted Haman’s scheme of the enemy and revealed it with wisdom to those in authority. He walked in prophetic counsel and instilled courage into Esther.

Esther, properly tutored and mentored by the counsel of Mordecai, seized the moment through prayer and fasting. Esther was anointed to intervene and stand in the gap, yet she had to walk in cooperation with the preparation of Mordecai, the spiritual authority God had placed in her life.

God chose to work through Mordecai to alert Esther to her destiny and timing of her intercessory acts on behalf of the Jews. God is looking for modern day Mordecai’s to prepare corporate Esther - His people for such a time as this!

  1. Why do the nations rage? Why do they exalt themselves in their vain imaginations? You, O Lord, sit upon the circle of the earth; You rule and reign over all the earth. You raise up kings and You bring them down. There is none like You O God in all of heaven or earth.

Lord God You have made a covenant promise with Abraham in Genesis 15 and repeated it again in Genesis 17. vs 20, 21 Ishmael would become a great nation, "But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year." Then You told Isaac in Genesis 26, "I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham...vs.24 I am the God of your father Abraham; Do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for the sake of My servant Abraham." In Genesis 27:28, 29 Isaac blessed his son Jacob with that same blessing.

Why do the nations rage and the peoples devise a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take cousel together against the Lord and His Anointed, saying, "Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!"
What is God's response? Then He will speak to them in His anger and terrify them in His fury, saying, "But as for ME, I have installed My King upon Zion, My holy mountain.
I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.'"
Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; take warning O judges of the earth. Worship the Lord with reverence and rejoice with trembling. Psalm 2

O Lord God, that Israel and the nations would come to know the Son that was begotten of God (Psalm 2)to redeem mankind back to Himself. The perfect Lamb who knew no sin became sin for us that we may live for Him.

David, the shepherd and psalmist, understood God's tender compassion toward His own sheep, and when one strayed too far, the very present danger. As David stood before Goliath, it wasn't that he fought well, but that he believed well.
O Israel, will you, as David, come to know your God and believe well? The Jewish Messiah came to redeem all of mankind and you are loved with an everlasting love. The Holy scriptures are a message of redeeming love. And the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, yes, and David, is a covenant keeping God!
